SPIRITUAL RENUAL

SPIRITUAL RENUAL This is a term that is usually related with Christianity and Divinity beliefs, and is considered as a “restore freshness, life, or quality”. I don’t personally believe in this concept of “renewal” under the idea of the Christianity. It may be true that when you are into “the religious world or God hands ” you might experiment a sense of change as your way of thinking is different and you start doing things you were not used to do, but not because “a divine” presence got inside you and renew you.

FENG SHUI

Feng shui I’m not a patrician of this “lifestyle” if we can call it like that, but I really like the concept and the idea of having our environment organized and need so that it reflects harmony. I also think that this concept is not only applicable on material things or spaces, but also to people. There is an aspect related to feng shui that talks about something called “ch’i” which is basically a type of energy that circulates places, environment and even people. Like a negative vibe that makes you feel uncomfortable in place or with people. This aspect in particular is the one I agree with better.
The bold and bashful When talking bout personalities and my preferences regarding the people I get together with I prefer them to be bold rather than bashful. And the reason of this preference is simply because I consider myself as a shy, quiet and not talkative person, so I like to surrounded by outgoing people that can add some kind of joy to my live. Besides that, if you are kind of shy, you can learn how to socialize when spending time with this type of persons. Basically you can enhance and develop your social skills.

Feng shui

For me Feng shui is the art of aligning things that are part of the decoration design of a room, house, apartment or building, rooted in transcendental Asian beliefs about the spiritual energy or ch’I  “chee” circulation, to bring  abundance and prosperity to the place. Let’s quote Donald Trump when he said “You don't have to believe in Feng Shui for it to work. I just know it brings me money”. Interior designers whose follow feng shui principles just need to put a step in an house that is no organized in an appropriated way and quickly can sense what is wrong with the environment.  here some tips to create good Feng Shui at home.

The bold and The Bashful

In my opinion both personalities the bold and the bashful have their  adverse  and positive aspects, most of the times  reticent  people are more accurates in their career (job, school, college) than the  extroverted  ones that prefer take things and life easier but, on another hand, outgoing people always are friendly and are there to give support to their fiends when they need it.  in the video below you will find somes tuip  to Overcome Shyness even as an Introvert. One of the  misattributions  that we always make a bout shy people is to think that they are  aloof  and unfriendly but I think that they just are trying to protect their personal space and we just need to give them time to get comfortable with the environment around.

Unit 5

Feng Shui is the art and science of organice things in the right way. It is a Chinese word that means wind and water. Trump is an user of feng shui because he like everything in the right way. My mother is crazy about feng shui. She is always organizing the house. She make a decoration course for organice her house without  knowing the meaning of feng shui.
The bold and the bashful I think God has created us with different purposes. He does not need us to be similar people, he needs us to complimet each other with our habilities. I don't have a favorite kind of temperament because i learned how to love everyone as they are. I'm a melancholic - blood Person and i'm learning how to manage some weaknesses, so i'll be abble to teach other how they can reach to some situations not matter their kind of temperament. In conclusion, if we learn to love us as we are, we'll love everyone as well no matter if is the bold or the bashful one.

Unit 6 spiritual renewal

I'm not Christian, but I went in the past. I know what is to fast very well, there are a lot of people don't understand why people fast. In religions is more common to fast, by consegration, renewal or some purpose and  there are others that abuse it, but the truth is that your faith is more important at the time of fasting. The audios professor placed about of the different religions and their way of fasting was very interesting for me, because I learned how offen other differents religions fast. When I was Christian, I fastened for 3 consecutive days just drinking water. This was very rewarding for me because I never thought I could to fast for so many days, but I listening that religions such as Islam, Mormons and Islamic fast for a month I think it is exagering, although it is for a good purpose  we can achieve.

unit 6: Spiritual renewal

I think when people speak about renewal they always think about new things, getting new things in their lives and leaving behind others. From my point of view, there are four areas of renewal physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, many people share that they feel their greatest area of need is in the spiritual ones. In fact, over the past fifteen years, I’ve heard many people express a recurring dissatisfaction or boredom with their lives. Some say their lives are, technically speaking or superficially, “fine.” They’re healthy, have hobbies, like their work, and spend time with their families, and yet they feel that something is missing. most people experience that they have all they were looking for but still feel like there is a missing part of their lives, something that it doesn't belong to the normal or original things they were looking for is something spiritual that must be gathered from God  and maybe the only entity that could fill out this empty space from inside. ...

Spiritual renewal.Leidy Polanco.

When people came to Jesus to have rheir need met ,very often .He  taught them to lift  their eyes from their own daily necessities and  seek His first.. Spiritual renewal doesn't come from sweking spiritual renewal  that only  results in a tempory emotional high lacking the true  pubstance that God can provide  instead , seek  God  And  surrender your will to his  let , it be your first you day.

UNIT 4 THE TIPPING POINT

The Tipping Point "The point at which something insignificant becomes important." Being honest I had no idea about The Tipping Point, I find it very interesting as it explains that something that is not very well known and suddenly is very famous or becomes a trend. An example of a Tipping Point is Facebook that was created in 2004 but was not well known until in 2008 where it became a well-known social network.

UNIT 5 FENG SHUI

Feng Shui is the art of aligning things in the environment to create harmony,  I found it very interesting as some people do not make any move if it is not with Feng Shui they all have it in perfect order in places like home office, rooms etc. Those who practice Feng Shui believe that the order of things around us can affect many aspects of our lives.

unit 3 The Bold and The Bashful

Bold is a person who is not afraid to take risks in difficult situations. This type of person has high self-esteem, unlike the Bashful is a person who is shy, reserved, who does not socialize with others. This type of person has low self-esteem. The best way to conquer shyness is to start loving yourself and leave fears behind.

Based on my researches the term means as “ Wind - water”, this is also known as Chinese geomancy. Feng Shui is a Chinese believe that claims to use energy forces to harmonize individual with their surrounding environment. I’m Chinese culture wind and water are associated with good health and also means good fortune. Feng Shui is the art of placement yourself and things and also helps you to balance the energies in any space. I really like this topic because we could learn more about Chinese’s culture. It is just fantastic as we can believe that everything around us is an energy.

Unit 2

Nowadays  plagiarism is now a serious problem in our society and has tended to increase especially in education. For this reason, it is important to make some reflections on this topic and be aware of the implications that they can be had if this crime is incurred. In my opinion we must be authentic and be honest with ourselves and make a thesis essayist with our words and knowledge.
Unit 6: Spiritual Renewal. A monastery can be defined as a house for persons under religious vowes.                                             In the present time, the number of visitors to monasteries and other spirituals retreat centers has increased. I think it is because people who were ignorant about religions in the past, were convinced for those tha promulgate God word, or they've lived a 'trascendental expierence' that pushed them to follow this path. Or they just want to escape from his hectic life.

Unit 4- The Tipping Point. This unit was really interesting for me, I did not know the meaning of tipping point before, which is a critical point beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes places. I think I have many tipping point in my life. The first thing was traveling to my favorite city, Chicago. This just change my mind and all my thinking of living out my country. It really change myself. Once  the professor, Atilano started explaining the unit I feel related to it.
Unit 3 – The Bold and the Bashful I really like Bold people. Bold is someone that is not afraid of danger or difficult situations. I really like adventures and challenge myself. I like to spend time with that type of people. It’s funny to say it but I used to be Bashful before, I was afraid of learning new things or just going out of my control zone. I think puberty had changed me but I like it. Being shy sometimes can be dangerous for us, we loss time and also people. Some people do not know each other just because of being afraid to go and just greet. We can see that some of them loss the love of her/his life just for being shy.

Unit 5: Feng Shui: Ancient Wisdom Travels West. Feng Shui is an ancient art and science that was formalized over 3,000 years ago in China. In literal translation "feng" means wind, and "shui" means water. Here is a color chat to plan a decor on this ancient wisdom:
Unit 2 –Honesty Honesty is one of the most important value someone can have. Being honest is priceless for me. Someone that is being loyal, genuine and honest with me is someone that could have all my heart. It is difficult to find friends that never lie to us. It is more difficult to find a loyal partner. We can have dishonest people around us. I can stand a friend that is being dishonest with me, It really upsets me, once I know he/ she was unloyal I can see that person with the same eyes as I did before.

Unit 5 - Feng Shui - Ancient Wisdom Travels West

This unit covered a topic that was completely unfamiliar to me: Feng Shui, which is a Chinese ancient art and science of creating harmonious surroundings that enhance the balance of yin and yang.  Feng Shui´s aim is to assure good fortune for the people inhabiting a space. It teaches people how to balance and harmonize the energies in any given space - at home, office, or garden. It has had an impact on the aesthetics of interior design and the architectural aspects of living and working spaces in the eastern and western cultures. Since good fortune comes in many forms, including health, a successful career, or fulfilling love life, feng shui practice includes detailed tips for almost every area of your life. The main tools used in analyzing the feng shui of any space are the feng shui compass and the Bagua, which was mentioned in the book.
Internet Addictions – Unit 1 Our first week of class we discussed an important topic that is affecting our society nowadays, which is the ‘’Internet Addictions’’. An addiction is something we can not stop doing, Our society is being bombarded with the communication online, but as it has good advantages   this has also have some disadvantages. People are becoming more addicted than before. Some people has not realized they are addicted but they can not live without a phone. I think this was an important unit because some of us just get more information about being addicted. We should encourage our friend and family to chat less and talk more.

Unit 4 - The Tipping Point

I am of those type of people who love to be prepared and knowledgeable when going to talk or write about an specific topic. This one was not the exception and being honest I got surprised with the information I found about the origins of this noun.  Tipping point today refers to the time at which a change or an effect cannot be stopped. However, it had a quite problematic meaning when it first became popular as a figurative phrase in the late 1950s. It was almost completely in reference to the tendency of white families to move out of an area when a certain percentage of the neighborhood was composed of black families. As the time went by, tipping point began to widen its application and was largely used in the sense in which we often see it today, without reference to racial panic.  I would have never imagined this term had such an unhappy beginning!

Unit 3 - The Bold and the Bashful

Throughout this unit , I could learn a lot more about all types of behaviors and attitudes that people can have, but I want to talk a little bit about the ones that are mentioned in the title of the unit, which is ´´The Bold and the Bashful´´.  Bold people stand out from the group. They are confident, courageous and directed. People who choose to be bold are inspiring not just because they get big things accomplished, but because they also instigate growth, progress, and movement for themselves and others around them. They have clear priorities and goals in life and they never give up until they have gotten them. I have had the pleasure to meet some bold people in my life and I can say that they are really inspirational and that has really motivated me. On the other hand, I used to think bashful people were those quiet and reserved ones with whom you have little contact, but that is actually the meaning of shy. Bashful describes those people who are shy but friendly. It is a ...

UNIT 5

HELLO EVERYONE! INSTEAD of talking about Feng Shui, I just want to take this space to share with you a grammar point. The Connectors. You can find the links below and review these principles. When to use connectors? One way to think about connectors is that they connect sentences, helping the reader follow the meaning of the sentence. Connectors are sometimes used to start a sentence, while at other times they can be placed in the middle position of a sentence. Simple connectors (called conjunctions): and, but, or. Complex connectors: however, therefore, although, unless, subsequently. Connectors should offer additional information to the reader. They can do this by emphasising contrasting meanings, adding reason or cause and showing succession. The power of Honesty We live in a demanding and organized society in general terms. This means that in order to perform some things we must follow steps. UNIT 1. The internet and other addictions.

BEHIND ADICTTIONS  When we think about addictions, we may focus only on the most common addictions, such as alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, coffee among others ... however, there is a long list of addictions that we probably do not know. Nowadays people are overwhelmed with technology and social media. Therefore dealing with this issue I set out to investigate the most common addictions in our country as well as the consequences they cause in society. In an article under the signature of Listin Diario, written by Doris Pantaleon, where she states: "Addiction is one of the components that make the country a fertile ground of citizen insecurity and crime says Tapounet Brugal. This explains it in the fact that, other factors come into it, such as the lifestyle that society it is modeling its citizens, where the material predominates, the lack of values, the superficial, the lack of principles, and the search for the easy money, where the human being feels important many times fo...
